Hi. We're Chris and Guy.
We run Kworq, a small creative agency in New York City. We started it in 2011. StoryPress is what we built after fifteen years of watching our clients wait on us.
Big brands, and a lot of businesses nobody writes case studies about
Over the years Kworq has built campaigns and websites for Verizon, Ray-Ban and Christian Louboutin.
Most of our clients were smaller. Barbers. Contractors. Camps. Family companies. People who are very good at their jobs and have no interest in becoming web developers. They needed a website that worked, and they needed to be able to change it.
)
For fifteen years, every update went through us
Every one of those websites had the same bottleneck. It was us.
A price changed. The hours changed. Somebody found a typo on the contact page. Each time, the owner had to email the agency, wait for us to get to it, and then pay for it.
We were good at it. It was still a terrible system.
GUY, IN THE MARGIN
“We were the bottleneck with a nice logo.”
Guy Peires, CTO of Kworq
The big platforms didn't fix it
We looked. Our clients looked. What was out there came in one of two kinds.
The toy
Easy to pick up. Then it fell apart.
The control panel
It could do everything. It was so complicated our clients were scared to touch it, so they emailed us instead.
So we built the thing we kept wishing existed
A site that goes live in a day and runs on the same edge network as the fastest sites on the web. You can change it two ways:
Open the visual editor. It's made for a busy owner, the kind who will actually open it.
Or connect Claude and ask for the change in plain English.
We ran our own client work on it for years before we opened it up. Now it's $5 a month, for anyone.
Your site loads from a server near your visitor, not from a shared box in a data center somewhere. That's why it's fast.
And no plugins: nothing to update, nothing to hack.
Who you're actually talking to
Chris Sullivan
Fifteen years of SEO and campaigns for brands big and small. Chris decides what StoryPress does, and he writes most of what's on this site.
On his desk: "Will this help my business get found?"
Guy Peires
CTO of Kworq. Guy builds the platform: the editor, the AI connection, the infrastructure. He reads every bug report personally.
On his desk: "Why is it so fast?" and "Is it secure?"
